Sequoia - www.myspace.com/sequoiatheband orwww.sequoiauk.co.uk

Sequoia are probably Farnham's best known band these days, with Radio 2 airplay, fantastic national press and a string of successful gigs in the area and beyond. Classic Rock magazine's latest issue states that "Stedman's voice is sure to melt teenage hearts," and HiFi+ magazine went as far as saying "All the songs shine with a zestful brilliance. Sequoia have the credentials to fill the aching pop space left by Crowded House - they really are that good." With a sound that blends British classic rock/pop with Californian harmonies, lyrics that make you wonder if they've been reading your diary - they're that close to the truth - and onstage banter to rival any band around, Sequoia really are up there and flying. Not to be missed.

                                      Susy Thomas - www.myspace.com/susythomas or www.susythomas.com

Despite making a base in London, Susy then spent six months living in New York and more time in Los Angeles, performing gigs while also meeting and working with established industry figures, such as renowned studio mixer Bob Clearmountain and the late Michael Kamen. "He was writing the score for X Men at the time," she says. "He said he'd love to produce me, so I was very flattered. We hung out for a few days at Air Studios in Hampstead."

Importantly for Susy, Kamen organised sessions alongside the drummer Andy Newmark and percussionist Thomas Diawani, with the resulting work mixed by Clearmountain back in the US. It was at this time that the deal with Interscope came about, but sadly for Susy, never came through. Back in London she then teamed up with Lestyn Polson (David Gray) and also met Stewart, as well as making her slight detour into acting – but "never again!"

She continued to perform her own music, playing a number of support gigs at the Shepherds Bush Empire for artists such as Paul Young, Roger Taylor, and Tom Robinson, while also providing festival support for Deacon Blue.

It was during the summer of 2003 that Susy found new management who signed her to Surrey-based indie Season Records in November of the same year. She wrote, recorded, and produced her own demo album in March 2004 entitled Home Acoustics, a project that included tracks such as Never Far, Hands and Knees, and Mirror For Me. Since this recording, Susy continued to be critically recognised on the London circuit before setting to work with acclaimed producer Mike Choi on her eagerly anticipated debut album 'In the Morning'.

Ruth Theodore - www.myspace.com/ruththeodore or www.ruththeodore.com

In a predominantly conservative leafy Southampton suburb there is a long long road, and down that long long road there is a small small house, and in that small small house there in a raggle taggle room, and in that raggle taggle room there is a wobbly ladder, and up the wobbly ladder there is a dark dark attic and in that dark dark attic...

...Ruth Theodore lives.

But when you turn on the light you see walls covered with poetry, lyrics, and colour. Guitars, violins, and bits of drums fill the room, for this is where, with an 8 track machine and a 1 track mind Ruth makes her recordings.

                                  Anna Tabbush - www.myspace.com/annatabbush or www.annatabbush.com

Anna has been writing songs since she was 9 but has only started performing them in the last two years. Despite her best efforts, her roots in English folk music show through in her song-writing style (although she insists that she does not write folk songs).

Born in Hexham, Northumberland Anna has since lived in Scotland, Wales and can currently be found in South East England. Her first taste of making money in music came at the age of 15 playing flute at a PTA ceilidh, which is a bike she’s never managed to fall off. She spends most of her time teaching community music to all sectors of society, composing and gigging.

She regularly has audiences in tears, both at the miserable and tragic songs, and at her razor witted ones. This is a talent she claims to have perfected over the years spent as a "proper" folk singer, only performing songs she’d pinched (or "collected" as they say in the folk world) from Britain’s infamous and frequently dead folk singers (or her parents).

The Wide Eyes - www.myspace.com/thewideeyes or www.thewideeyes.com

Born in Midhurst, West Sussex in August 2003, the Wide Eyes are Kev Osman (vocals/guitar), Alex Jones (guitar/vocals) and Harry Garne (bass). The local open mic circuit provided the first audience for the band's music, and is also where they met producer and guru Mike Fry; together the demo EP 'Sleepwalking' was conceived one chilly weekend in January 2004. These 5 tracks allowed the band to buy their basic equipment and led to an interview on radio station Spirit FM, an appearance in AND Magazine and a partnership forming with Stiff Promotions. The Wide Eyes plan to record their full-length debut album in early 2006, and to continue playing live. To date, the Wide Eyes have played *12 Bar Club, Denmark St, London *Troubadour, Earls Court, London *Wedgewood Rooms, Portsmouth *Joiners, Southampton and many more...

                                                 Wire Jesus - www.myspace.com/wirejesus or www.wirejesus.com

The band started with Mike Murray and Amy Barton who shared a mutual love for vocal harmonies and Jack Daniels, two things that shouldn't mix but in this case make the perfect cocktail. After some acclaimed sell-out acoustic gigs some of the cream of Reading's musicians gravitated towards them and added considerable musical weight to their cause.

Together since 2004, Mike, Amy, Nicole, Tim, Tiki and Paul have performed at a diverse range of venues: anything from an instore at the souths largest music shop to Nottingham's Royal Concert Hall. Recent supports with My Latest Novel, Semifinalists and Pure Reason Revolution have gained Wire Jesus critical acclaim for their mesmerizing vocal harmonies, frenetic live performances and well crafted songs full of menace and beauty.

The Johnsons - www.myspace.com/thejohnsonsno1 or www.thejohnsons.me.uk

"The next time you see a poster with their name on it, write the date down, text all your friends and make a night of it. This ain't a covers band, or a disco, or a sound machine, or a dance fusion, or a jungle beats, or a funk groove thang. This is the real thing, live music, played by a band with attitude, who party and want you to have a good time too. If you're still standing at the climax of one of their gigs, be afraid - you're probably dead." - Nigel Rivers, Gazette Article

"What can you say about the Johnsons? F**kin hell is a good start!! There were a few people there who arent necessarily into guitar based music, but who were part of the collective chants leading to the band playing on for a further 15 minutes. Possibly one of the greatest front women out there, if theres a better one, Id like to see her, twice. Hilarious, sexy, covered in sweat, military hotpants, and the odd drop of blood (which she licked up), nice." - Bestest Review

                                                                                                    Beat Six - www.myspace.com/beatsix

Beat Six are a 5 piece band from Staines, West London. The guys are currently writing and recording their debut album at their HQ in Windsor, Running Frog Music. After a very successful first gig in Kingston, more dates have now been confirmed.

The Fins - www.myspace.com/thefins  or www.thefins.co.uk

On a cold day in Farnborough a man named James woke up and thought, "I can't take it anymore! I have to show the world my amazing song writing prowess for the greater good of mankind!!!" ...and so The Fins were born... ...Of course it took a little while longer to find the band members and sort out everything else...but you get the idea.

                                     Big Wednesday - www.bigwed.co.uk or  www.myspace.com/bigwednesday

Vital, energetic and life affirming are not words often associated with modern Indie acts, Big Wednesday however, look set to change that. Not satisfied with writing the kind of songs that will remain firmly embedded in your subconscious long after even the most cursory listen, Big Wednesday inject every note with a youthful passion that ensures that you won’t just be humming the songs in your head; you’ll be frantically tapping on the table as well. Recorded in the summer 05’ at Great Linford Manor Big Wednesday’s forthcoming third EP eloquently demonstrates just what it is that makes them one of Britain’s best up and coming acts; melodic sus, classic songwriting and a knack for writing instantly memorable songs makes this EP essential listening. The last two years have been a roller coaster ride for Big Wednesday.                                                                                                                                Heartwear Process

Heartwear Process are a beautifully destructive 5-piece hailing from Reading.

Their music is one part lo-fi punk, a healthy dose of chunky guitars, a dash of sweeping tenderness and three bags full of good old-fashioned songwriting. The sound of introspection set free from the bedroom to stalk the streets.

Since their debut in 2004, Heartwear's brand of chaos has quickly gained recognition that's hard to come by. Not only have the band played support slots with underground legends S*M*A*S*H and The Fall, but also Fergal Sharkey from The Undertones has been spotted getting down at their gigs.

If you happen to be looking for a new gang to fall in love with, Heartwear Process will be happy to look after your soul for you. Expect big things in 2006.

Pre-release copies of their debut single is available from www.velocityrecordings.com

Heartwear Process is Tom Purcell (vox, guitar), Chris Sartin (vox, bass), Jay Newton (vox, guitar), Paul Smith (vox, guitar) and James Loar (drums).

Subdelta

Fleet based Subdelta are a five piece band formed 2 years ago after the split of Puskas.

Their overall feel can be described as dancey and wouldn’t be out of place in the chill-out room of any club. Their sound is compiled from bouncy bass lines, solid drums overlaid by psychedelic-rock guitar and ambient keyboard and samples.

Frontman Mark Stedman, (Steddy to his mates) produces vocals that float over the music almost like dialogue that allow you to hear his lyrics clearly.

                                                                                                                                         Exit Tahiti

Exit Tahiti are a fruity mix of intoxication and good tunes. Blinded by optimism their music spans a diverse range of genre's from poppy/rocky tunes to rocky/poppy tunes, pushed to the extremes of their very definition. Gleefully agitated like a van load of badgers on a hot day, Exit Tahiti is a band that plays music through amplifiers and microphones and are quite possibly the best band to emerge from the industrial estates of Uxbridge. These guys are destined for big things.......... Described by Gavin Wild of UCB as '....in the style of the Libertines...', Exit Tahiti are making people sit up and listen. Having formed less than nine months ago they are jaded beyond their years. A driving force composed of 1 part enthusiasm, 2 parts ego, and 5 part-time musicians, Exit Tahiti are ready to surpass the established definition of (un)popular music.

Chinaberry Tree

Chinaberry Tree are the newly formed four-piece sporting a wonderfully eclectic mix of infectious songs, quirky hooks, and funky melodies. The quirky stylings of singer-songwriter Mike Henson have long been in need of a band, so this is definitely not one to be missed. Clear, no-frills lyrics complement a rich vocal delivery and the beautiful soundscape generated by four very accomplished musicians. These songs may well get lodged in your head forever!

The Dirty Royals

The Dirty Royals, based in both the UK and LA, emerged from the core of the UK band The Samurai Seven. The Samurai Seven achieved success in the UK and Japan with the release of several singles and their sold out CD release of “Le Sport”. Playing regularly to full venues as well as having the honor of being one of the late John Peel’s, (of BBC 1 fame), favorite bands, The Samurai Seven landed in sunny California in August 2005 as invited guests of International Pop Overthrow LA/SF where they played to a very approving crowd and enjoyed the festival. After soaking up the rays and vibes while playing numerous gigs across California and collaborating with a number of producers and other artists, a new direction, band line-up and sound was born. Having established the band’s new sound, musical range and an enthusiastic fan base, they returned to the UK wired, with new experiences, ideas, and a fresh new groove. In September 2005 The Band was invited to Mid Point Music Festival (MPMF) in Cincinnati and with their new found energy they played to a packed to capacity crowd at Neon’s Courtyard rocking the joint and garnering rave reviews. After their return to the UK from MPMF The Samurai Seven revolted and fell upon their swords in front of a packed celebratory show in London … to be born anew, bloodied, but unbowed, and claimed their rightful crown as THE DIRTY ROYALS. The Dirty Royals had their formal coronation in London on the 15 of November along with several other shows in November and December. They are also currently negotiating a Far East Tour for Spring 2006 and Scandinavian Tour for Summer 2006. In between they will be completing their first EP as the Dirty Royals scheduled to be released in February 2006 both in the UK and the US, followed by a 'Live@MPMF' CD with video and then their 1st CD in Summer of 2006.

Nick Tann

Originally a bass player, Nick started his career in the early 1990s playing with many different bands including Russians.   He has guested as a session musician with numerous artists including the Red Stripe Jazz Band and Caroline Hilton.  He started playing his solo 12-string acoustic set in small venues all over London in 1999 as well as collaborating with eclectic trio Drunk on Logic

In 2001, he established and fronted the funk band People, gigging all over London and the South East playing venues such as the Forum, Sound, the Garage, the Mean Fiddler, West One Four, the Spice of Life, the Arts Cafe and the Kashmir Klub, also making an appearance at the BBC Radio 2 music festival in Cardiff.

Throughout his music career, Nick's main passion has always been songwriting, and he has built up a portfolio of original songs over several years.  His style skips across many musical genres but is defined by passionate and distinctive vocals together with beautiful melodies that stay with you.

In 2006 he is once again concentrating on his solo career, having just finished recording the first part of his new project Unfinished Art - a collection of ten songs stripped bare with just guitar and vocals.

As well as looking to secure a publishing contract for his extensive and varied catalogue of music, Nick is now playing a series of acoustic gigs to promote his new material.

                                                                                                                             Charis Luke

Graham and Charis Luke are a father and daughter duo (once hilariously described as a brother and sister act (well, I thought it was funny;  G.)). They started out a couple of years ago doing covers at a local pub’s jam night (we live just south of Reading;  C), moved on to doing occasional gigs, and then just over a year ago Graham decided it was time to concentrate on writing original material. His songs are varied in style, are often emotive, and usually thought provoking (sentimental and romantic;  C; passionate and risqué;  G.). Charis is 15, and has a powerful, distinctive and arresting voice beyond her years (pleeeeaaase don’t compare me to Kate Bush, I don’t sound anything like her!!;  C.). She is a creative lass -  sometimes wears clothes (of a very interesting style;  C), of her own design and manufacture and (desperately!!!;  C)  wants to write songs too (her first song, co-written with me, was finished earlier today, and it’s not bad – in fact I might nick it…lol!;  G.). When they both sing they sometimes go under the name of G n C (C n G if you don’t mind;  C.  No, that is a building society;  G.  Whatever!!;  C). Tonight it’s just Charis.

Steve Bradfield (Radiate)

Steve is the founder member and lead singer of UK rock band Radiate. Having toured nationaly, the band are currently taking time out to record there first album.

Gabby Young

A Wiltshire lass, born and bred, 21 year old Gabby Young has just returned to
her roots from a successful tour of the US.

Her unique singing voice was discovered at an early age.  Indeed she was one of
the youngest singers to be invited to join the prestigious Nation Youth Choir of
Great Britain.

After studying at music college in London, Gabby returned to her family home in
Wiltshire and started writing songs.  A chance meeting on the internet with an
amazingly talented American musician called Jamie Bright turned everything
around.

This is someone with personality to burn and a great joie de vivre - you will
hear it in her songs. Her voice is an eclectic mix of Janis Joplin, Joan Baez,
Joni Mitchell and Jeff Buckley and Marc Bolan.  Her soulful, shimmering voice
is so powerful it will leave you breathless, whilst her starkly original lyrics
conjure up images that will remain long after her show is over.

Laura Colegate

Laura started getting serious about singing in her final years at school when she took up private vocal lessons.

She went on to complete a performing arts course at College and then undertook a vocal Diploma at the A.C.M, graduating in 2000.

Since then she has been in various bands and involved in numerous music projects but is now pursuing a solo career.

She says that she feels most at home when she's making music in some form, be it recording, writing or performing. She'd love her music to be part of life’s sound track, something that people can enjoy listening to, and also relate to in some way, as she thinks this is why music is so important…its good for the soul!!.
